Trash bins and bags
From small to tall, we can trash it all. A small bin catches scraps as you chop, a tall one handles the rest, and the right bags keep it all tidy.

Trash can that hangs on a cabinet door
The small one. It folds flat against the inside of a cabinet door and sits right where the scraps are.
2 gallon drawstring trash bags
The bags for the trash can that hangs on a cabinet door. Small, unscented, and the drawstring makes it easy to tie up the scraps and carry them out.
Tall kitchen trash can
The tall one, for everything the small bin does not catch. The lid closes slowly instead of slamming.
Two bins, not one
Most of what a kitchen throws away is trimmings, and carrying them across the room is how they end up on the floor. Keeping a small bin at the board and a tall one for everything else is the whole idea.
